Branson Chiropractor – Hip (groin) Pain

Femoral acetabular impingement, or FAI, is a hip dysfunction where the ball and socket joint jams against itself. This jamming happens most typically with hip flexion (squatting) and internal rotation (rotating the body away from the leg). This pressure at joint will eventually cause bony changed. The stress acting on the bone produces a piezoelectric effect. This attracts bone-building cells called osteoblasts. The more stress there, the higher the bony response. Smooth symmetrical loading of the hip joint, from a centrated position, disperses forces over a larger area than just the focused pressure created in FAI. In this video we use a DNS approach, along with trigger point dry needling and acupuncture. We go through a basic description of FAI, how it affects her hip, and several treatment interventions.
