Bowen is a soft tissue release technique, which means it works on this layer of the body. For the body to work perfectly it needs to be balanced. Our body always has a reason why it spasms or causes us pain and bowen goes to the root cause of that.

Unlike other techniques that try to force a muscle apart or try to push bones into place, bowen works on the connective tissue that pull the bones and effect the position of the whole skeleton. It actually means that under-active muscles are pulled into action and the over-active ones that are shortening and in pain and distress are being released.

Bowen aims to balance the whole of the system. It’s a great stress relief but it also works with conditions like asthma, anxiety and digestive issues.

So, after a thorough consultation and assessment with the patient we’ll set forth a treatment plan which, for some people, means two to four sessions and actually that’s all they need.
